Open thoughts from the Rhino
I don't know

Studies are continually being published in the business section of my local paper that the economy is getting better. But I've yet to see it. But I can't say I'm a big member of the economy, as I don't buy very many items and am currently looking for a job. Everytime an article states, "The economy is getting better!" theres another one the next day, "Oil prices to rise" or "Jobless rate increases." That sort of flip flop doesn't make me feel certain about the economy at all.

The last recession before this one was during the first Bush's term. During his last year it started going up. Clinton rode this economy surge however it started to decline his last year or two in office. Then Bush came in, the towers were hit, and we went into a full fledged recession again. It is supposedly getting better.

An article recently stated how the two parties are spinning the economy. Republicans say its getting better, Democrats state its unstable and weak. I'm curious as to what people think here. I personally believe it is getting better, but not in any obvious measurable terms.

The unemployment rate hasn't been going up the past few months.

An obvious measurable form is the new jobs being created.
