Why is it we have a female basketball league that gets tv air time, but not a women's volleyball league that gets tv air time? I would much rather watch a sport that women excel at, then one that makes them look like ametuer's in comparison to the men's team. I was watching Indoor Volleyball (not beach, I found that boring) and it was actually really interesting. I thought I would tune it to see some pretty girls jumping around (I'm sorry, I'm a guy), but after that wore off I found myself actually interested in the sport and wanting the US team to win. I was rooting for them and saying, "Yes!" after they scored a winning point/goal/kill/thingy. If they had a professional volleyball league that had national TV air time, I would definately watch it and cheer on the home team.

It's about what people will watch...the fact is, there are few people who will watch a volleyball league consistently over the course of a season.

I compare it to women's gymnastics. Yeah, at first I'll admit. I watched it to see the girls bounce around and stuff, but after awile., You see that they know what they're doing. Whch is the beauty of the sport. Same with women's volleyball. They know what they're doing and it makes the sport enjoyable because it's professionals that are playing it.
